The Dipkarpaz village is the gateway to North Cyprus’ north east peninsula and resembles the Mediterranean of old, and is one of the intact parts of Cyprus. It is peninsula's largest and most remote village, where Turkish and Greek Cypriot still lives side by side just as they have done for hundred years. A mosque sits next to an Orthodox Church overlooking the main square.

It is a kilometres long beach, renowned for its golden sands and crystal blue waters, situated at the heart of the unspoiled nature of Karpaz peninsula.

Stop At: Dipkarpaz Milli Parki - Karpaz National Park Wild Donkey Protection Area, Karpaz Anayolu, Famagusta Cyprus

The region is designated as a Protected Natural and Archaeological Site since 1995 and offering its visitors an opportunity to explore the untouched nature of Cyprus, abundance of birds, wild flowers and rich marine life. The most famous inhabitants are the wild donkeys.

The monastery is one of the most important places of pilgrimage in Cyprus, has hosted pilgrims from all over the island for centuries. Pilgrims whom seeking cures for their afflictions believed to healing effect of the monastery's spring. The Apostolos Andreas Monastery is situated almost at the end of the Karpaz peninsula. It is named after St Andrew, who was a follower of John the Baptist, and was the first to be called by Jesus Christ to spread Christianity. It is a place of reverence both for Turkish and Greek Cypriots.

Ayios Philon is a pretty site, on the coast north of Dipkarpaz. The ruined remains of a 12th century Byzantine church stand in a lovely spot by the sea, and next to this lie what is left of an earlier church, dating from the 5th century. This earlier church was significantly larger than the newer building, which was built on top of its remains. These churches are at the site of the ancient town of Karpasia, which was occupied until the Arab raids of the early 9th century, and there are some remnants of the ancient harbour wall in the bay nearby.
