Not only is the Louvre Museum of the most iconic buildings of Paris, our guide Violet managed to walk us around discussing the architecture, the paintings, their history and the stories behind the artists. Her knowledge is amazing, but her ability to keep you interested was a delightful. Not only would we recommend this tour, but particularly Violet. Merci beaucoup
Greetings from Los Angeles! Violet was our tour guide and she was amazing:) She is passionate about the artwork and makes the tour fun by storytelling. Had I walked in by myself, I would of had no idea what I was looking at. I walked out after our tour in love with history and feeling a lot more knowledgeable. Thank you Violet for being so welcoming and so good at what you do. You are a gem!
P.S. there were strikes the day of our tour in Paris so there was a possibility of it being cancelled, but City Wonders handled it very professionally .
Don't waste time in a line but enjoy it in the museum. Buy your tickets in advance and SAVE time! The museum is too large to even spend 1 minute in frustrating lineups.
Anna did a great job. She was very knowledgeable, light-hearted, and fun. In addition to learning about the history of the Lourvre, I also learned a lot about the various styles of sculpture and art over the ages. I would definitely recommend the tour and specifically, Anna as a guide. John S
So glad we paid to have this tour. Excellent in all ways. John Edwards was great. Couldn't have been any better. Full 3.5 hours (30 min extra). Definitely a fantastic value!
Anna was very good. We loved her knowledge and she made it fun with her quizzes! I will make sure to study for the next time I visit! Thank you Anna!!
I highly recommend this tour! I recently (Nov 2019) took the Louvre tour with Anna - she was AWESOME! Anna was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Louvre and all of the exhibits we visited (which was a lot). She welcomed questions and gave each member of our group individual attention. She is truly a gem!
Now for Louvre, what can I say that hasn’t already been said - SIMPLY PHENOMENAL! My favorite was Winged Victory. The wait time for Louvre admittance/security and to the Mona Lisa was minimal (thanks to the tour). We had ample opportunities to take pictures and see a great number of exhibits.
Great tour especially when you have a tour guide that is both knowledgeable and educated on the history of art. Fabrizia was our guide and we were very impressed with her knowledge and explanations. The Louvre is spectacular as well as enormous. Luckily for us our guide knew the museum so well and we moved around fluidly allowing us to see the remarkable artwork.
Moving constantly our guided group was able to see a pleasant portion of the Louvre. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Details and highlights were pointed out, including the original most and underpinnings of the Sun King’s Palace...now the Louvre, a fantastic museum.
Julian the very entertainingly witty and knowledgeable guide gave us an excellent tour of the museum. We learned a lot and we saw the highlights of the museum, that made our visit worthwhile. So glad we booked this!
I would highly recommend this tour! Adam was a phenomenal tour guide and really helped us navigate the crowds. I would definitely do this again.
Skipping ithe Line is just that. You are escorted to another entrance and don't have to wait in the long lines that everyone else does. Also our tour guide Anna was very good and had a lot of knowledge regarding the museum and its exhibits.
Claire was an excellent vivacious tour guide who kept it interesting and animated the entire 3 hours. Our Wednesday evening tour had only 14 people, so we moved along at a fast clip with minimal crowds in the museum.
I don't generally write reviews but booking this tour (English speaking guide) was worth every penny. Felix was our guide and he was very friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. This was my first time to the Louvre, so glad we had an English speaking guide to help us through it!
Our guide was great. This tour covered all the “must sees” of the Louvre and we had the option of staying and exploring on our own after tour was over.
We purchased tickets for the Louvre and were told to meet our guide at the carrousel. Ever been to the Louvre? The Carrousel is a huge complex, not a kiddie ride. We looked for 2 hours trying to find our group. We figured there would be someone with a sign. Not so. We asked many people that work in the carrousel...maybe 15 people if they knew where the groups meet. Could not find any one that knew. We were tired and disappointed that we were going to miss our tour. Upon deciding just to give up and eat the $140 we waisted, we saw a small group of people and decided to ask one more time. It turns out they were waiting for us. Not in the carrousel but up in the open near the small arch. The guide laughed and said they Viator is famous for not getting it right. Viator was recommended by our Viking agent. I let him know we were really upset that he ever told us to use this company. Yes we were given a phone number to call if we needed to contact Viator, but we were unable to connect using that number. It made for a very stressful day.
My husband and I had the privilege of touring the Louvre with Adam and he was amazing! He was great at explaining details and keeping us entertained the entire time. I really enjoyed how he would find ways to get us in the right position for great pictures and was impressed that he remembered all 25 of our names in the group. The next day we went on another tour and as great as it was, it was no team Adam. Highly recommend as he will make your visit beyond enjoyable! -Anna and Pablo, Kansas City
We had a fantastic day with Laura as our guide. We were out in the cold and rain under the arch but Laura got us quickly into the building, through the lines and security. She was full of historical information and brought to light many things we would have missed. She loves to interact with her group and asked great questions to keep us engaged. All together a fantastic visit to the Lourve.
This went very smoothly. Next time, I will feel confident about cruising the Louvre without a guide, but since this was our first and possibly last visit to the Louvre, I was glad to be escorted to some of the main pieces to be sure and see. Our guide was courteous and humorous and knowledgeable about art. The Louvre was extremely crowded, and this was "off" season. But our guide was able to get us some good viewing spots.
The Tour guide Laura was fantastic she was very knowledgeable and wonderful made our trip to France worth it
Claire was great. Took the time to highlight the best in an otherwise overwhelming experience. She took extra time to show parts for those interested beyond the 3 hours.
Exceptional! Very educational. The guide was fantastic! She communicated her knowledge very effectively by keeping the group involved.
Laura was outstanding. She was very through and made the tour very interesting. She is very proud of her Parisian roots and it shows. Highly recommend her and the tour!!
Great tour. Everything was interesting. It was also amusing and very informative. I loved it. Thank you Manuel.
