Rioja is undoubtedly one of the wine regions par excellence in Spain. Not only because of the high quality of its fine wines, but also because of its rich cultural heritage linked to this drink.

The Rioja landscape is dotted with archaic winepresses, monasteries and towns that, with their silence, tell a beautiful story of man's commitment to the vineyard. All framed by the Sierra Cantabria and the Sierra de la Demanda.

The Ebro river meanders between them as hundreds of hills undulate. Families of vine growers, old vineyards, prestigious wineries and a gastronomy that speaks of products await in Rioja.

Stop At: Haro, Haro, La Rioja

(Tasting) Haro and its Train Station is one of the quintessential wine villages of Rioja, and Spain. The disruption of a plague brought times of glory to the village and wineries. In here we will taste in some their iconical wineries where the tradition and future of Rioja wines converge.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: San Vicente de la Sonsierra, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja

(Tasting) We will drive and walk through the vineyards with the senses on the 'terroir' that makes Rioja one of the great wine countries of the world. The area is populated by family wineries. We will stop in one of them to taste the great wines coming from the well-kept family vineyards of Rioja



Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Laguardia, Laguardia, Province of Alava, Basque Country

(Lunch) After tasting in different wineries, the time for enjoying local food will have arrived. Lunch at one of the iconical villages of Basque Country's Rioja. A menu based on fresh local ingredients and traditional dishes.

After lunch a nice walk around the village will make you feel in need of siesta in the way back home.

Stop At: Bodegas Ysios, La Hoya Bidea, s/n, 01300 Laguardia Spain

Before we head back home, we will take some time to admire some of the most iconic wineries of Rioja such as Bodegas Ysios and Marques de Riscal
