Stop At: Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Narusawa-mura, Minamitsuru-gun 401-0320 Yamanashi Prefecture

The Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station (富士スバルライン五合目, Fuji Subaru Line Gogōme, also known as Yoshidaguchi 5th Station or Kawaguchiko 5th Station) lies at approximately the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, which leads from Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine at the mountain's base to the summit of Mount Fuji.

It is the most popular of the four 5th stations on Mount Fuji and the best developed and easiest to access by public transportation from Tokyo. The Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station is accessible almost year round, snow conditions permitting, and is a popular sightseeing spot even outside of the climbing season.

Stop At: Chureito Pagoda, 3360-1 Arakura, Fujiyoshida 403-0011 Yamanashi Prefecture

The Chureito Pagoda was built in 1963, a recent addition to the Arakura Sengen Shrine. It serves specifically as a peace memorial commemorating the citizens of Fujiyoshida who died in wars from the mid-1800s until World War II.

At a higher altitude than the rest of the Shrine, Chureito Pagoda is famous for its steps. How many steps lead from the Shrine to the Pagoda- The answer is a stunning 400; visitors agree that the view from the top is worth the effort.

The best views of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the lake's northern shores and are particularly breathtaking during the cherry blossom season around mid April and the autumn colors around the first half of November. One of the nicest spots for cherry blossoms is the seaside promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest.

Oshino Hakkai are the eight springs found in Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan. The aquifer water from Mount Fuji comes out to the ground to form these springs. They are a Natural monument of Japan, part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site, and one of Yamanashi Prefecture's important tourist attractions.

Stop At: Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, 5558 Kamiyoshida, Fujiyoshida 403-0005 Yamanashi Prefecture

The spiritual center of Fujiyoshida with a history of over 1,900 years
This shrine is said to have had its start in 100 A.D., when a small shrine was built to celebrate the visit of prince Yamato Takeru-no Mikoto to this hill when he was on his way to Kai Province from Hakone. Later in 788, an altar was built to enshrine Sengen God at the present site to halt the frequent eruptions of Mt. Fuji.

Fuji Shibazakura Festival, from to is a flower festival that takes place every year in Japan near Lake Motosuko. It is a popular attraction because people enjoy seeing the large fields of blooming shibazakura (moss pink, moss phlox, or lawn cherry).
