Urasoe is a neighboring city of Naha that is filled with historical sites dating all the way from the Gusuku period to WWII. As you weave your way across the city between past and present, you'll encounter ancient stone walls of fortresses, tombs of Ryukyu kings long gone, and even a significant WWII battlefield featured in the movie, Hacksaw Ridge. This tour allows you to feel closer to these real-life events in a physical and personal way while riding an E-bike.

Pass through a large park in the center of the city. You can get a glimpse of everyday life in Okinawa, with children playing on the spacious fields.

You can see a large cluster of tombs dating back to the Okinawa Gusuku period, the Ryukyu Kingdom period, and the Meiji period. The largest turtleback tomb, which was introduced from China, is a sight to behold with its unique design.

This was a stone paved road during the Ryukyu Kingdom era that served as a main road connecting Shuri Castle all the way to northern Okinawa. The restored bridge and cobblestone streets will make you feel like you have traveled back in time to the Ryukyu Kingdom era.

Once upon a time, this area was a place where pine trees grew thick, home to a monster that tricked people passing by and caused trouble for the villagers. It is said that over 470 years ago, a monk in training buried a pebble on which he had written a sutra to exterminate the monster. It is now said to have the power to suppress earthquakes and lightning.
