Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and the home of the handmade floating islands of Uros where the local people live a traditional lifestyle utilizing the flora of the lake for the homes & boats.


Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Lake Titicaca, Peru

Pick-up from your hotel in Puno around 9am, from where we will go to the port in Puno and then climb aboard a motor boat.
We will take a beautiful motor boat journey (30 min.) amongst the reeds, we arrive to Uros, an archipelago of more than 60 manmade floating islands inhabited by the Uros, an ethnic group of fishermen, part of an ancestral group.
Actually you will observe a number of reed islands one next to the other, with houses and people on them There get a Guided tour to 2 or 3 islands, explore the surroundings on an authentic reed raft (optional)
Return to Puno, arrival at 12.30pm
