Nature Walk at Ecological Park and Butterfly Garden Danaus

This small ecological reserve, which regenerated naturally thanks to the efforts of a group of people concerned about conservation of the environment and education of the children and adults of the area, is a wonderful project which has cooperated with the sustainable tourism development of the town of La Fortuna.

Itinerary

Short trail through a typical rainforest of the Northern Zone.
3 hours well spent in search of sloths, caiman, turtles, frogs, and a large variety of tropical birds.
Easy terrain trail (600 meters or 0.37 miles), apt for the whole family.
Botanical gardens with over 600 species of medicinal and ornamental plants.
Butterfly garden with more than 40 species and wetlands ideal for nesting and birdwatching.
