The afternoon will be entirely dedicated to visiting the Murgia Park. After a hearty breakfast, we head to the Crypt of Original Sin south of the city. It was the cultural site of a Benedictine rock monastery of the Lombard period. It is embellished with a cycle of frescoes dated between the eighth and ninth centuries, painted by the artist known as the Matera Flower Painter and expressing the historical characteristics of Benedictine-Benevento art.
