Huatulco Whale Watching Tour

Celebrate the Humpback whale migration from December through March with our team of marine biologists.

Oceanico is the only group of marine biologists that are studying the populations of dolphins and whales in Huatulco.

Our knowledgeable guides share their knowledge offering you an in depth look into the lives of the dolphins, whales and sea turtles.

We are the only organization in Huatulco that uses an underwater microphone to find and listen to the whales and dolphins.

This also ensures we have the most sightings in Huatulco and increases the amount of information we can collect for research and conservation.

Itinerary

Pass By: Bahia Chahue, Huatulco Mexico

Meeting point

We meet 10 minutes before departure at the Chahue marina at the Palapa roofed building next to the dock entrance. There are bathrooms there for our guests.

Stop At: Huatulco, Huatulco, Southern Mexico

We meet and depart from the Chahue marina. We assist guests onto the boat, everyone is given a lifejacket and our marine biologist guide gives a briefing of the species we typically see on the tours. 10 minutes.

We then cruise out of Chahue Bay, seeing Chahue beach and Roca Blanca. Where we go next depends on where our spotter at the Santa Cruz Huatulco lighthouse has seen dolphins or whales.

We will explore the oceanic environment looking for dolphins, whales, sea turtles, marine birds, oceanic mantas and all the different pelagic species of Huatulco.
